Karen is a certified and registered Genetic Counsellor with extensive experience across private and public healthcare settings. Since 2018, she has been working in private practice, while also serving as a Senior Genetic Counsellor at Genetic Services of Western Australia.
Karen has a strong background in reproductive, paediatric, and adult genetic counselling, with particular expertise in supporting couples through complex and emotionally challenging situations. She is deeply committed to ensuring that individuals and families are empowered with clear information, compassionate guidance, and the opportunity to make informed choices. Her approach is grounded in empathy, clarity, and respect for each client’s unique journey.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science, a Master’s in Counselling, and is certified as a Genetic Counsellor by the Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA) - with over 25 years experience.
Cassie is an experienced genetic counsellor with a strong background in genetics and health. Since graduating with a Master of Genetic Counselling in 2020, she has worked across both public and private healthcare settings, supporting individuals and families in understanding the role of genetics in their health.
Cassie has a particular interest in cardiovascular genetics and is passionate about providing clear, compassionate, and evidence-based guidance to her clients. She is available for appointments in the areas of cardiac and cancer genetics, connective tissue disorders, and reproductive planning.

Kat is a passionate Genetic counsellor who graduated with a Masters of Genetic Counselling in 2023. She brings with her five years of previous experience working in neurology, developing a special interest in conditions such as Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis (MS), epilepsy, motor neurone disease (MND), and Huntington’s disease through her experience in clinical trial and research.
Kat’s expertise also extends to cancer genetics where she works part-time in the public sector. Kat’s passion for genetic counselling is rooted in her dedication to empowering individuals and families to make informed decisions that enhance their health and well-being.
Kat is available for the following appointments: Neurogenetics, reproductive carrier screening, cancer genetics, non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), NIPT screening results, connective tissue disorders and cardiac genetics,
Renae completed her Masters of Genetic Counselling in 2024 at the University of Technology Sydney.
She has worked as a Medical Scientist at Pathwest Laboratory Medicine WA for many years - so has a keen interest in science and how it translates to assisting people's health management.
Renae is available to meet with you to discuss proactive genetic testing, cancer genetics, reproductive carrier screening, NIPT and to assist with preparation for all appointments.

Dr Jennie Slee specialises in the areas of adolescent and adult onset conditions and reproductive genetics. She has many years of experience working within the public sector.

Dr Cathy Kiraly-Borri has a particular interest in the area of familial cancer including childhood cancer, and high risk management. Dr Kiraly-Borri has extensive experience in all areas of genetic consultation.
Marija is a qualified Social Worker with over 20 years of experience within the Disability Sector with people of all ages. She is well placed to offer support, information, referral and advocacy to individuals or families and help navigate the health and supports services and funding systems (including but not limited to the National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS, My Age Care, and Services Australia) – which can be difficult at the best of times.
Marija holds a Bachelor of Social Work and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Dr Ben Kamien specialises in the area of paediatric, adult and obstetric genetics and provides the clinical supervision for Private Genetics WA.
